Sausalito Center for the Arts is thrilled to present Milagros & Memories, an exhibition celebrating the work of iconic Latin American artists of the San Francisco Bay Area.
The artists include the legendary Juana Alicia Araiza whose murals are displayed throughout the Bay Area, included are work on the story of La X’tabay, a Yucatec Mayan myth.
Also included are some of the most celebrated names in the Latin American art space, Carmen Lomas Garza, Juan Fuentes, Calixio Robles, Michael Roman and Ester Hernandez, from the collection of Back to the Picture Gallery on Valencia street in San Francisco. In addition, we are happy to present work by Ozono Triso Araiza, and several iconic work by Talavera Ballon’s “La caravana migrante”, the migrant caravan.
This exhibition of incredibly unique art, includes artists Michael Roman, a legend of the Mission whose work has not been shown in Marin. This exhibition celebrates and reflects our multicultural communities here in the Bay Area.
