SCA creates a unique venue that intersects culture, art, and community, establishing a true Center of the City that radiates vibrant and positive energy to our citizens, visitors, families, businesses, and City leadership.
Our programs offer diverse forms of creative expression that build connections, spark dialogue, and reflect and transform our community. Topics range from serious to whimsical, yet remain relevant to the world today.
Visual Art
The visual arts are part of Sausalito’s DNA, and SCA serves as a showcase for the creative expression of local Sausalito artists, with exhibits open to the public.
It also provides a venue for artists from Marin County, the Bay Area, and beyond who seek an exhibition space as stunning as their work.

Culture
SCA is a place to hear music, watch performances, and enjoy a variety of exhibits held throughout the year, highlighting plein air artists, watercolorists, modern, abstract, traditional, and textile artists, as well as sculptors. The center also hosts spoken word evenings, dance and music recitals, and lectures.

Education
Classes are held in the facility and around the property for both adults and children.
Offerings include art demonstrations, history and appreciation sessions, sketch classes, children’s art exhibits, and adult classes in weaving, along with rehearsal spaces.

The Center supports all aspects of the community, establishing a collaborative and supportive environment for group activities, social engagement, public information, and other purposes.

Meeting Venue
The Center is the new venue in Sausalito to hold events, conferences, corporate meetings and workshops, providing meeting space that is not currently available in many of our restaurants or hotels.
SCA is available to rent to individuals and organizations of all size.
